Have you ever
wondered........?

Have you ever wondered why people who spend so much
time in the gym make little progress if any at all. Seriously, If
getting in great shape was as easy as going the gym 3 times a week,
hitting the treadmill, and watching our CARBS, we would all be
supermodels. Yes I am making a generalization, but one that seems to be
accurate. I discovered this when I recently visited the town that I once
called home. I popped in to my old fitness club to get a quick
workout in and also to see some old faces. There were plenty of
new unfamiliar faces, but most of the people I had a seen working out
there 4 years ago. Including this one guy, you know the guy that
looks like he stole his little brother's t shirt, always flexing in the
mirror. Some things never change.
Suddenly, something occurred to me.
How is it that 4 years have gone by and hardly anybody has made any
visible changes. Don't get me wrong, I'm no Adonis. And maybe people are
content and are just trying to stay in shape. However, i'm pretty sure most
people are their to make improvements and achieve goals. Why do so
many people, including the ones that actually do workout, come up short
of their goals?
Think about it, we have been programmed like robots.
We know we have to eat right, exercise, do cardio. But do we really know
why? Or how? Here's an analogy: Anyone can go to Home Depot and buy
nails, a hammer and some ply wood. However, without the blueprints
and proper understanding of construction you'll be standing there
scratching your head. You can try, it may take a lifetime. Fitness
is just like building a house, with knowledge and the proper tools you
CAN reach your goals. Training with a personal trainer will help
